These are the people who help to bring the dream alive...
Clark and Judy
The principals of the AWCA and AWCP businesses are Clark and Judy McGhie.
Judy, raised on a property near Charters Towers in North Queensland, has worked for Government for most of her life, caring for children and families in regional and remote areas. Her ability to understand and appreciate the hardships of rural life has given her the practical knowledge required for this business as well as a formidable reputation with the camp-oven and bush cuisine.
Clark was born and raised on cattle properties in the Northern Territory, New Zealand and Queensland, developing a love for wild animals and hunting from an early age. His experience with feral animal control follows that of his father and grandfather, plus extensive deer capture and farming experience, guided hunting and wildlife management, which now spans more than 35 years.
Kurt and Esther McGhie
Kurt, Clark’s second eldest son, married the beautiful Esther Kopp in the wilds of British Columbia in July 2014. Both have amassed an astounding depth of guiding and trapping experience on a wide range of Canadian and Australian species, which they now use to the benefit of clients while working for the legendary Collingwood Brothers Outfitters of the Spatsizi, BC.
Stuart and Rick
For any business to be successful long-term, it requires talented young people willing to “learn the ropes” and build the industry. Judy’s eldest Rick and Clark’s nephew Stuart are showing they have what it takes in their ability to respectfully assist hunting clients and promote sustainable use management systems.
